Ryan Egan seems to know where it's at.
Placing his debut track online back in July, the New Yorker's future-facing R&B sounds won immediate acclaim.
Playful without losing its emotional impact, ambitious without lacking in melody, the material has a sumptuous immediacy.
Debut EP 'Postures' is produced by Tei Shi collaborator Luca Buccellati, and it finds Ryan Egan burrowing deep within himself. The singer explains:
"The process of making this EP was really important for me; it was my first step away from working in a live band format and building my own individual sound as a songwriter and singer in the studio. I love to think constantly of achieving a sound somewhere between the worlds of Radiohead and Prince and this first collection of songs helped build on that vision for sure."
Clash is able to stream the new EP up front before anyone else. Check it out now.
