Rose Elinor Dougall is gearing up to release new EP 'Future Vanishes' on November 18th – stream a preview below.
One time Pipette and full time purveyor of lovelorn hymns, Rose Elinor Dougall burst back into view this summer. Posting a series of tracks online, the songwriter hinted at something rather significant in the pipeline.
New EP 'Future Vanishes' represents the fruits of her labour. Set to drop on November 18th via newly minted imprint You Records, the title cut has already caused a stir.
With the odd hint of breezy psychedelia and broad, sweeping brushstrokes, 'Future Vanishes' is a neat primer for the full EP. A four track vinyl affair, the digital version contains exclusive remixes from Fiction and TOY.
Ahead of this, though, Clash is able to present something new. 'Poison Ivy' takes pride of place on the new release, with lush harmonies lifting Dougall's voice up into the heavens.
Driving percussion adds a renewed dynamism to the work, which despite its ambition never quite leaves Rose Elinor Dougall's pop roots behind.
Listen to it now.
