Premiere: Ronika – Shut Up And Kiss Me

Check out her new mixtape...

The real pop stars – the best pop stars – are all self-made.

Think Boy George stealing his mother's make up or Marc Balon staring in the mirror with a feather boa. Hailing from Nottingham, Ronika is entirely self-made.

Working on her material, the rising songwriter perfected a glamorous sense of disco-pop which was both retro-tastic and explicitly modern.

A string of singles have established her reputation, with Ronika currently preparing her debut album 'Selectadisc' for release on June 2nd.

Ahead of this, the pop star in the making has pieced together new mixtape 'Shut Up And Kiss Me'. A defiantly independent gesture, it finds Ronika taking control of her own destiny: "Even now, people will tell you to forget about production and let guys do it for you. There weren’t many female production role models for me growing up, and I wanted to try and change that."
