Piff Gang have been an explosive presence on UK hip hop.
The loose knit collective have a hyper-stylised, hugely original approach – aware of Stateside developments but continually placing a UK spin on any sound which takes their fancy.
Furiously creative, rapper Phaze What has laid down more than 50 tracks over the past 12 months. Gathering the cream of the crop, new release 'The Sweet Chin Movie' is a powerful return.
The bulk of the production was handled by Mkulu Lee, there are also beats by Selvsse, Fluency, Louis Holmes and Tehron Porter.
The title itself is a reference to the wrestler Shaun Michaels' signature move – as Phaze What explains: "The listener can make if of it what they want, they can take it as a kick in the face…or they can take it as a movie."
