Premiere: Pavan – ‘Renita’

Glistening synth pop from the rising London duo...

Pavan is a duo from London, matching a boy to a girl, electronic music to pop.

Each track seems to unfurl at its own speed, a rare grace born from real independence. Joe Robbins and Will Lowes house the project at their South London studio, utilising the space to craft some extraordinarily vivid pieces of music.

Clash is able to premiere new cut 'Renita', and it's something rather special indeed. The bubbling synths rush past, reminiscent of Krautrock's more ambient side, while the vocal plays it entirely straight.

A combination of heart-on-sleeve pop and underground electronics, 'Renita' is born from a real life tale…

Pavan: "We met Renita in Amsterdam one weekend last summer. She was working on the bar and offered to take us to a party after her shift. We took her up on the offer and went straight to the airport from the party, joking all the way about pulling the emergency strap to take us back to her. She was a keeper."

Check it out now.

You can catch Pavan live on July 5th @ Birthdays, Dalston!
