Premiere: Paul Draper – ‘Friends Make The Worst Enemies’ (Acoustic)

From new document 'EP TWO'...

There's a reason Mansun were (and, indeed, are) held in such high esteem: the songwriting.

Music that cuts deeper than most, songs that remain lodged in your head for years at a time, slowly unravelling, patiently discerning new meaning.

Paul Draper helped fuel the band's creative engine, and his recent return to solo duties makes for welcome news as this most dystopian of years grinds to a halt.

The songwriter will release a new solo album next year, with upcoming document 'EP TWO' leading the way.

Recorded by Paul Draper at his studio The Kitchen, the EP arrives on November 25th and contains the Catherine AD co-write 'Friends Make The Worst Enemies'.

Alongside the full studio version Paul Draper has pieced together an acoustic version, and it's like the chassis of a car being removed to see the engine parts whirring underneath.

A supple yet devastating return, it demonstrates that Paul Draper's continued artistic vitality should rightly be celebrated.

Tune in now.
