Beginning as a solo project, Oscar & The Wolf expanded to become a four piece before 23 year old songwriter Max Colombie decided that he wanted sole control.
Now slimmed back to one person, Oscar & The Wolf feel more concentrated, more intense. New album 'Entity' is released today (October 13th) a hugely colourful introduction to the Belgian artist's world.
Based in Ghent, the songwriter is able to use his surroundings as a point of influence. "Five our of every 10 people can play an instrument," he explains. "There are so many different cultures there, including Arabic music. It all had an influence on my album."
Recent single 'Princes' was a potent introduction. Re-worked by Oaktree, this new remix highlights the vivid tones running through the project, retaining vocal aspects but adding a woozy, almost psychedelic feel.
