No Wave fused with infectious pop...
Omni

Omni are part of Atlanta's sprawling creative scene, a group who work entirely without limitations.

The band - who boast former members of Deerhunter amongst their number - take brittle, No Wave riffs and add a sprinkle of pop.

So, expect reference points such as Mars, DNA or Bush Tetras allied to some incredible infectious, wholly addictive melodies.

New album 'Deluxe' drops on July 8th via Trouble In Mind, and Clash is able to premiere new cut 'Wednesday Wedding' - it sounds a little like Devo, and we mean that as a profound compliment.

The band's Philip Frobos comment: "Frankie and I laboured over 'Wednesday Wedding' probably longer than any other song on the record. After many days of not know where to go with it or whether to just move on, Frankie came up with the pre-chorus guitar part ("white walls and advantages") and almost immediately the chorus came to me. It all fell perfectly in place."

"'Wednesday Wedding' to me is an ode to a lot of my favourite bands. I wanted to write a song that sounded like a mix of a Cindy Wilson led B-52s song and The Clean. I'm pretty happy with where Frankie and I arrived."
