Britain's DIY community is booming.
Across the land, marginalised musicians are fighting back, using technologies both old and new to pursue new avenues of self-expression.
Omi Palone released their debut album through the tiny but vital independent label Faux Discx/Negative Space earlier this year.
A spirited, at times inspiring fusion of post-punk experimental whims, early 90s Stateside alt rock and the Flying Nun legacy, it became a cult object in its own right. Announcing a new tour with Black Fungus, Omi Palone have decided to share a new track.
With its sharp, stabbing guitar lines, 'Singled Out' is reminiscent of The Clean, while the vocals have a shy yet empowered vibe that recalls Sleater-Kinney.
Much more than the sum of their influences, though, 'Singled Out' is a fine piece of music in its own right.
Check it out below.
