Premiere: October Drift – ‘Cinnamon Girl’

Taken from upcoming EP 'This Is Nowhere'...

October Drift tend to give up everything for music.

The band are driven by a single purpose, fusing visceral songwriting with songwriting that explicitly outlines their emotions.

New EP 'This Is Nowhere' is incoming, and it's an intense, visceral return, yet also one laden with a rare degree of poetry.

Taken from the EP, 'Cinnamon Girl' shares its title with a Neil Young track – and that's no coincidence…

Singer/guitarist Kiran Roy explains: “I remember lying in bed, semi-conscious with some music playing but the needle kept skipping on Neil Young's Cinnamon Girl. I wasn't properly aware of it for a while, I laid there in that half asleep state where your thoughts can wander to some really strange places. That’s what gave me the starting point for the song.”
