NX Records seems to grow from strength to strength.
Kicked off as a collaboration between Accidental Records and Goldsmiths college in London, the project has taken on a character of its own.
The label's annual mixtape contains new artists from South East London, and it's always incredibly eclectic.
This year is no exception. The content was over seen by the Accidental team – including Matthew Herbert – while songwriters James Ewers and VV Brown acted as guest judges.
VV Brown comments: "The submissions this year were all so different and eclectic. It was difficult to decide and I enjoyed going through them all. At times easy on the ear, at times challenging, but in all very exciting."
Semi Precious stepped in to craft the mixtape, presenting an exquisite collage of some 43 tracks. It makes for fascinating listening – tune in below.
NX Records and On Blackheath will present a special showcase featuring artists from this mixtape on May 12th at the Amersham Arms in New Cross, London.
