Sweden is often seen as a pop capital, with the country's reputation for churning out day-glo melodies underlined by decades of success.
Yet there's a shadow realm to the country's music scene, one that dwells in rather more challenging motifs.
New project NONN uses Brutalist post-punk shapes, slabs of concrete sound that carry astonishing weight.
A full album is incoming – pre-order HERE – but Clash is able to unveil new cut 'Need'.
The Swedish artist explains: "With NONN I was starting to get a bit tired of using loads and loads of crazy, vintage equipment to record – I just wanted to keep things really minimalistic for a change. 'Need' was the first track I wrote for the album and it's the song that set the feel for the whole record, it's about feeling alone and isolated even when you're surrounded by people".
