We live in an era when the right – and the far right – are on the march across the globe, with populist movements threatening individual freedoms of gender, sexuality, and religion.
Recognising this, Naomi Pilgrim has decided to lend her voice, to record a new track that voices her own fears about the rising tide of prejudice.
'Racist Friend' was initially penned by The Specials, and it uncompromising in its attitude: "If you have a racist friend," it says, "now is the time for your friendship to end".
Re-recorded in her own inimitable style, the all-female guest cast includes the rappers Sa-Roc (US) and Yugen Blakrok (South Africa).
