Max Cooper has always sought new challenges.
Rightly lauded due to his electronic compositions, the producer's growing fascination with classical climes led him to seek out new collaborators.
Striking up a friendship with the pianist Tom Hodge, the two have just completed work on their second joint EP.
'Artefact EP' will be released on April 20th via FIELDS, a work which deftly fuses the distinctly different approaches of these two artists.
Opener 'Remnants' is a beautiful piece of work, while 'Teotihuacan Pt. 2' utilises found sounds Cooper collected during a trip to South America.
Closing track 'Resonant Expanse' is the EP's sole exclusively electronic piece, with Max Cooper employing samples of Tom Hodge's piano playing.
Allowing these sounds to fragment into something new and quite engrossing, Max Cooper turns these piano shards into synth noise while his billowing electronics flutter past.
