Maurice Aymard and Gui Boratto have paired up on new track 'Home'.
Two of South America's biggest dance exports, Maurice Aymard and Gui Boratto have been friendly rivals for years. Pushing each other to new heights, the pair recently decided to head into the studio together.
With schedules leading them apart, the session took place in one twenty four hour burst. Recorded in Aymard's adopted home of Barcelona, the results are drifting house music – all texture and drive, with the percussive flair pinned down to allow the melodic colours to seep through.
"I've known and been a huge fan of Gui for several years now. He released an EP on Galaktika way back in 2007 and remixed my own track, 'Put Some For Jules' in 2010, so when I was recording this album I knew I had to get him on it somehow" said Maurice Aymard. "Luckily despite his crazy schedule we managed to get him to Barcelona We didn't have much time, but got straight to work in the studio and well… It's Gui, everything he touches is magic!"
Set to be released on Aymard's own Galaktika Records, 'Home' will be available from September 23rd. By way of a preview, Clash is able to present the official video for 'Home' before anyone else – oh, and you can stream the Jay Shepheard remix below.
