Lucky Shivers sit somewhere between the dream-world and waking reality.
Lo-fi bedroom pop with enormous imagination, the London-Northampton group recently shared their remarkable single 'Human By Night'.
On the flip, Lucky Shivers share new cut 'Wrinkle Pillow' and the damaged sound of the songwriting echoes the not-quite-there lyrical message.
"This song, 'Wrinkle Pillow' was written about my Hypnagogic Hallucinations," explains Lucky Shivers’ singer/guitarist Nicholas Stevenson, "where sometimes in a half awake state I see things that aren't there. Like big old chandeliers, floating guitars, faces in wrinkly pillows – and the worst was a guy in white sports gear peeing in the corner. I wanted to talk about that and use some really kitsch drum samples I found."
Unkempt pop with a DIY feel, 'Wrinkle Pillow' is a brave journey into the unknown. Tune in now.
