Born in Seville, Carlos R. Pinto fell under the spell of hip hop from a young age.
Enraptured by its gently mind expanding properties, the producer set about making his own beats – beats which would push this psychedelic vision.
Supported by the likes of A Future Without, Brownswood Recordings and Tru Thoughts, the producer adopted the moniker Lost Twin to reflect the nagging sense of loss within his music.
New release 'Squaring The Circle' drops on November 3rd (pre-order the vinyl HERE), with Clash able to premiere new cut 'Snake Snake'.
There's a debt to J Dilla or even early Flying Lotus here, with Lost Twin utilising those slumped, crunched rhythms.
Alongside this, though, there's a love of colour borrowed from A Tribe Called Quest, as well as trickling psychedelics which feel oddly South American in nature.
