Premiere: Living Dead Girl – ‘Autumn’

Dark, layered electronics with a profound sense of atmosphere...

Living Dead Girl thrive on bring together vastly different elements – a male/female duo, they match beauty to despair, light to dark, wonderful songwriting to brutal electronics.

Reminiscent of early Portishead or even Massive Attack's more soulful side, the project is currently hard at work in the studio on new material.

New cut 'Autumn' drops on September 16th, with Chris Coulter stepping in to mix the release. "'Autumn explores the pain of unrequited love," Jonno Lloyd tells us, "and the changes we experience after finally leaving it behind. This was one of Jess' solo songs that never truly saw the light of day, the challenge was then how to make it a Living Dead Girl song but still maintain that feeling of vulnerability and hope. The result is probably our most optimistic song but one that still feels very natural for us."

Matching a beautiful evocative vocal from Jessica English, the ethereal passages are linked to some scorched electronics. Tune in below.
