Premiere: Lisbon Kid – ‘Sunburst’ (Alternative Version)

Part of new 'Balearic' compilation...

'Balearic' is one of the most contentious terms in music.

Initially designed as a catch all term for the music played in the clubs on Ibiza which inspired those mid 80s hedonists, it has continually shifted and evolved.

Chris Coco and Jim Breese know a thing or two about Balearic. Rising to the challenge, the selectors have overseen a new compilation dedicated to the sound – rather appropriately called 'Balearic'.

Hugely diverse, it opens with Spanish guitar and ends with Nils Frahm. Along the way, the duo call in a few favours, peppering the compilation with some exclusives.

Rui DaSilva has launched new alter ego Lisbon Kid, and Clash is able to premiere new cut 'Sunburst'.

An alternate version, it's full of dreamy synths, bleached out textures and hazy beats – check it out now.

'Balearic' is set to be released on June 22nd.
