Let's Away is a new project which focusses on two childhood friends from Sunderland.
Growing up with each other, the two aspiring musicians then moved to different ends of the country – Manchester and London – a few years ago.
Keeping in touch, the pair would swap ideas, push each other further. Let's Away is an outlet for those ideas, with the band now ready to unveil a new track.
Working with producer James Mottershead, 'Golden Morning' is a crisp, engrossing and poetic slice of indie rock songwriting, reminiscent of The National but with a distinctly British, distinctly North East twist.
A times reminiscent of British Sea Power – who share roots in Northumbria, of course – there's a sense of wide open space within the music itself. Check it out now.
