Premiere: Laakso – ‘So Happy, So Sad’

A new start...

Time is cyclical – bands coalesce, split, and then form once again.

Such is the path of Swedish project Laasko. Songwriter Markus Krunegård spearheads the group, who released a string of albums between 2002 and 2007 to huge acclaim in their native Sweden.

Sometime last year, Markus Krunegård found himself in contact with those friends once more. The chemistry was there, and – before anyone was even aware of it – Laasko had reformed.

New album 'Grateful Dead' is produced by Jari Haapalainen, and it's out on April 22nd. Clash is able to premiere new cut 'So Happy, So Sad' and it's a bittersweet offering from the Swedish group.

Crisp guitars line up against a sighing vocal, that swings between the emotions of the title – 'So Happy, So Sad' indeed.
