Scott Verrill was raised in the depths of South London, surrounded by music and performance from a young age.
Developing, honing his skills, the songwriter adopted the KYKO moniker earlier this year for the 'Animals' EP.
Rooted in stunning melody and potent pop potential, the EP found a rapturous audience – clocking up more than one million plays across all platforms.
New cut 'Pull Me Up', then, comes with expectations attached. A mature, soothing return, KYKO's gossamer voice is set against a soft synth bed and those laser-guided guitar lines.
KYKO: "For me, 'Pull Me Up' feels like the right amount of progression from the sound of my first EP. With this track I had a lot more time to experiment with my writing – bringing in a wide range of influences but still retaining the positive and ethnic vibe that runs throughout my other tunes. Naturally the track felt slightly moodier and spacier, but the lyrics bring the uplifting feeling that I strive for in my music."
