The voice is an instrument in itself.
Bulgarian born composer Gueorgui I. Linev initially set out to indulge his love of minimalism, sketching out lengthy, ornate meditations.
But then Kristianne Bautista stepped into his life. The chanteuse leant her voice to the composer's work, and – with the help of producer Peter Potyondy – something special emerged.
Choosing the name Kan Wakan, the trio began crafting lush, forward thinking pop music. New EP 'Midnight Moon' is out now, with lead cut 'Like I Need You' currently gaining exposure thanks to its placement on a high profile HBO advert.
Setting their sights on the UK, Kan Wakan have handed a brand new remix to Clash. 'Midnight Moon (Casual Psychotic Remix)' finds the band taken in a glitch heavy direction, with the fractured electronics perfectly matching their probing pop.
Check it out now.
