Kafka Tamura seems to live in a world of their own.
A trio who found one another online, the group took their name from the protagonist of the surrealist Japanese novel 'Kafka On The Shore'.
Fusing skittering electronics with soulful vocals and an otherworldly sense of pop, the band's debut track 'Somebody Else' became a viral sensation last year.
Quietly, patiently stockpiling fresh material, Kafka Tamura have now confirmed plans for their full length debut. Due for release on August 14th, 'Nothing To Everyone' is a highly ambitious document.
The band's Patrick Bongers explains: "'Nothing To Everyone' was meant to be a concept album from the very beginning. We wanted to create something that could be considered a piece of art and not just a collection of songs. So it was always like setting up rules and breaking them to find out what's the core of this music that we've had in our minds."
Ahead of this, Clash can unveil new track 'Bones'. Gorgeous, pixelated pop with an artful bent, you can tune in below:
