Kim Ann Foxman launched Firehouse as a means to get some of the music she was playing in her set out on record racks.
As a result, the imprint has carved out an identity which follows her own tastes: eclectic, for sure, but alongside the wilful experimentation lies an innate ability to move a dancefloor.
Pairing up with The Vinyl Factory, the next Firehouse release is set to be something very special indeed. Jozef K and Winter Son recently crossed swords, delivering a crisp, peak time banger.
Flora Cruz added some soulful vocals to soften the blow, with 'Tribal Rhythm' demolishing clubs across Europe and beyond this summer. The track was made in dedication to Tribal Sessions, where Jozef K has a London residency, and will be released via Firehouse. Kim Ann Foxman:
“‘Tribal Rhythm’ is fire! It's a fresh new track with a classic feel done right. It's got lots of energy, a sassy vox; it’s super catchy and a dance floor bomb! I’ve been playing it out non-stop, and it always creates a huge reaction on the dance floor. Hands go up in the air – the crowd goes wild. It’s a winner!”
Out on September 18th (pre-order LINK), Clash is able to premiere the original version – check it out below.
