Jono McCleery released recent solo album 'Pagodes' just as 2015's light began to ebb.
A beautifully constructed return it featured some of the songwriter's most frank, open and autobiographical material to date.
Jabru is clearly a fan. Invited to re-work one of the tracks from the album, the producer hooked on to 'So Long' for a re-freshing re-work.
Leaving that supple, soulful vocal intact the producer built an entirely new framework around the material. It's a spacious remix, the weightless feel helping to intensity Jono's delivery.
Of course, there's also a rippling, almost jazz-tinged groove…
