Based in London, Johanna Glaza isn't afraid to look beyond the city's boundaries for inspiration.
Bright baroque folk with an emotional twist, breakthrough EP 'Letter To New York' was inspired by visions of the Big Apple.
Narrative led and profoundly autobiographical, the songwriter is now ready to take her next step.
New single 'Paper Widow' b/w 'Winter Song' is due to be released on November 30th, and Clash can bring you the first play of both sides.
Showcasing two facets of her artistic personality, the single is another glimpse of a songwriting coming into full bloom.
'Paper Widow' utilises a sparse arrangement, with Johanna's vocal leaps and swoons reminiscent of Joanna Newsome. On the flip, 'Winter Song' is rather more buoyant, revolving around a glistening piano sequence and an arrangement which recalls 'Bryter Layter' era Nick Drake.
