Premiere: Itchy Teeth – ‘Brian Wilson Is Still Alive’

Garage flavoured psych-pop with a wry sense of humour...

Itchy Teeth are a law unto themselves.

Currently working on a new comedy project with Heavenly Films, the band's debut album won acclaim from some high places – including Rolling Stones' guitarist Ronnie Wood.

New material is incoming, led by the wry, instantly infectious single 'Brian Wilson Is Still Alive'.

Imagine a UK centric Lemon Twigs and you'd be close, with their Todd Rundgren-esque psych-pop matched to a whimsical sense of humour.

They explain:

“Everybody knows the predictable story of the beautiful and dead 27 year old, upon whom pop mus ic's mythology is built, however, as much as Brian Wilson should have died from the strange substances he consumed, he escaped this fate – meaning either…. He's not human, some otherworldly aura protects him or the strange substances actually helped him survive.”

“We can celebrate: it is a beautiful thing that Brian is still alive, he is a wonderful man. We get sad when our heroes die, so instead let's celebrate them now, and maybe he will hear our cry, Brian Wilson is still alive. When we think of Brian, we think of childlike spontaneity, experimentation, and deep tenderness. Have we put all this into our psychedelic opus? Perhaps only Brian could judge, however in his stead, we leave it to dear friends to decide!”
