Premiere: Indridi – ‘Afogtil’

Something quite magical from Iceland...

Indriði Ingólfsson is a veteran of Iceland's punk scene, a member of notorious sludge merchants Muck.

The Nordic talent's solo material, though, offers something quite different. Sparse, magical, and sharply poetic, his upcoming album 'Makril' is really rather special.

Recorded in upstate New York at the Time Tree Studio, songs would emerge after lengthy walks in woodland and were recorded in just one or two takes.

Indridi explains: “I wanted it to sound live, so I had one microphone that faced out the window. That’s why you can often hear a little bit of airplane and insects and crickets and stuff.”

Clash is able to premiere new cut 'Afogtil', and it's a meditative, extremely intimate offering from the Icelandic talent.

Spiralling around that circular guitar riff, Indridi's voice feels weighted down with emotion, with experience. Tune in now.
