Hidden Orchestra is a project engaged in an act of continual evolution.
Producer and composer Joe Acheson seems to view each album as a stopping off point, a junction in a journey that never quite ends.
New release 'Dawn Chorus' is a wonderfully pensive, expansive affair, fusing his inherent electronics with fresh, lugubrious, entrancing elements.
Opening himself up to fresh interpretation, the material from 'Dawn Chorus' is set to be given an overhaul by a series of producers.
Max Cooper has stepped in to remix 'Wingbeats', picking apart those compositional elements while adding a few additional hues of his own.
"I liked the idea that there is some sort of computational frayed edge," Cooper explains: "It sounds like real recordings at a glance, but a closer look at the forms has something weird going on in there."
A wonderfully intricate piece, this new version of 'Wingbeats' is laden with sweet colour, with the layered elements building towards some kind of joy.
Tune in now.
'Dawn Chorus Remixes' will be released on January 26th.
