Harper explains that the track is "an earthy, raw, alt-pop record with a much deeper concept than you may perceive from first impressions. I wanted to write about the properties of 'skin'; how it's our protective barrier from the world, it's power to heal when cut, and apply that sentiment to my love for a person."
