Gringo Star hail from Atlanta, one of the true creative centres of the southern United States.
The band have that odd, Southern feel, that sense of mystery that runs through everyone from R.E.M. to of Montreal.
Alongside this, though, Gringo Star have an Anglophone streak, borrowing from The Kinks, The Who, or even The Smiths.
