Siri Jantey enjoyed a colourful childhood: she was raised in Bangkok’s hustle and bustle, then moved to Switzerland and LA – but the one common denominator in all of this geographical upheaval was her constant passion for sounds.
You can hear these references ringing through her musical output today as part of the Glitter Wasteland collective. A slice of freefalling, delirious electro-pop, ‘Cold War’ – which is seeing a release on 61 Seconds Records – takes its DNA from Charli XCX as much as Lykke Li, while the accompanying neon-lit visuals provide an atmospheric pairing.
