It's an oft-held cliche that music takes you on a journey – but Glass Vaults have travelled further than most.
Birthed in New Zealand, the trio travelled half-way around the globe before landing in Berlin.
Using the German city as a base, Glass Vaults feel free to extend their tendrils across the alt-pop universe.
Upcoming album 'The New Happy' is the result. Deliriously inventive, the squelching, left-field melodies aim to conjure physical feelings in the listener.
The band explain: "It looks not to emulate a sexual high, but a deeper, euphoric wave, that washes over the body in feelings of comfort and security… a new kind of happy."
Clash is able to premiere odd-pop nugget 'Brooklyn', and you can check it out now.
The New Happy is out on Melodic 12th May. You can pre-order at http://www.melodic.co.uk/thenewhappy/
