Fran Lobo introduced herself last year with her debut EP 'Beautiful Blood', a provocative document that was impossible to pin down.
Based in South London, the talented songwriter and producer seemed entirely at ease with bringing together opposites - from Pixies' style alt rock, through to fragrant electronics.
New EP 'Surround' arrives on November 11th, and it's a spectacular three-part affair, honing in on Fran Lobo's electronic abstraction.
'Surround x Auclair' (Remix) premieres on Clash, and it's oblique sense of digital soul results in some wonderfully eerie scenes.
Similar in approach to aspects of Jessy Lanza's work, the shuffling rhythm casts 80s machine funk in a state of perpetual evolution.
Tune in now.
Catch Fran Lobo at London's Pickle Factory on November 9th.
