Norwegian student Stian Vedøy was always eager to pursue music.
Writing and recording during a university degree in Cardiff, he returned to Norway to enter the Bandwagon Battle Of The Bands contest.
Recruiting some friends, Firewoodisland was born. Crisp rock riffs matched to campfire anthems, the band's songwriting has an assured, emotive feel.
New EP 'Dome' emerges on April 22nd, with the group's cerebral qualities set against a real sense of melodic immediacy.
