Still in their teens, Febueder have a fondness for nasty, noisy pop music.
Perhaps it's there youth. There are hints of frustration here, of chafing at the boundaries placed in their way by the adult world.
Formed in Ascot, Febueder have linked up with Melodic Records for their new EP. 'Lilac Lane' is out today (October 13th) and it's a potent example of where Lilac Lane are heading.
Practising and recording in an abandoned space called The Tunnel, the trio utilised a budget Shure SM57 mic - seemingly, the only mic they own.
There's a delightfully raw feel to 'Lilac Lane'. A four part exposition of weirdo pop, 'Owing' takes a swipe at the enduring myth of the Alpha male, while 'Brazilia' is all off kilter riffs and discordant horns.
