Debut album ‘Still Life Moving Fast’ announced...
Empress AD

The latest signings to British rock stable Roadrunner Records, Empress AD arrive with high hopes.

The band's sound is difficult to pin down, with their flamboyant prog touches sitting alongside a love for classic rock riffs.

Which isn't to suggest that Empress AD are in some way a retro phenomenon. The band have a deeply individual sound, one which is as raw as it is complex.

Debut album 'Still Life Moving Fast' will be released on September 1st, with lead cut 'Blurred Perception' online now. As a treat, Clash can unveil new track 'On My Return'.

A spiralling, inspiring piece of rock music, it finds the band placing near industrial bass tones to the fore.

Akin to Nine Inch Nails with Eastern flourishes, you can listen to it below.

Catch Empress AD at Reading and Leeds this weekend:

Reading stage time: Saturday, 1.30pm (The Pit stage)
Leeds stage time: Sunday, 2.05pm (The Pit stage)
