Premiere: dubspeeka – ‘K186’

Bristolian techno don teases his new project...

dubspeeka is part of Bristol's close-knit techno community, a series of DJs, producers, and party throwers who have helped carve out a unique take on one of dance music's foundational sounds.

Respected for his innovative take on the sound, dubspeeka has recently pieced together new nine track album 'skel058 – Population'.

Forthcoming on the producer's own Skeleton Recordings imprint, the record demonstrates both the breadth and vitality of the Bristol beat maker's approach.

Clash is able to premiere new cut 'K186', and it's intricate, metallic vibes offer a dense array of fresh ideas.

dubspeeka seems to draw from far beyond the techno sphere, with the darkness inherent in 'K186' echoing Bristol's labyrinthine bass community.

It's defiantly techno, though – equally drawing on Detroit's dystopian tendencies for a burst of scorched black melody.

Tune in now.
