Currently a hub for new ideas, for collaborations and general genre-bending madness, the latest Irish talents to pass our way are Dear Desert.
Posting debut cut 'Give It Up' online, the band's sultry, impassioned take on future soul. Using only the most basic of equipment, the slightly lo-fi feel of the recording made for a truly intimate listening experience.
Working with producer Asta Kalapa, the trio – Richie Fenton, Brendan Millar and James O' Donnell – have pushed ahead, refining their sound, their ideas in the process.
New EP 'Gift Above' is the result. A remarkably assured document, it finds Dear Desert developing their songwriting but retaining that all important intimacy.
