Avant garde hip hop...
Damon Frost

Damon Frost is a contradictory character.

An African-American Jew, the rising artist was born in the United States yet raised in Sweden. Besotted with hip hop from a young age, he first made his name as a dancer before becoming one half of pan global hip-hop prog band Hearin’ Aid.

Applying a fastidious, imaginative, left field approach to the boom bap template, Damon Frost's work is gradually attracting attention far beyond Scandinavia.

London based imprint Accidental Records have stepped into the fray, snapping up Damon Frost for a new solo album.

New EP 'eXPLAIN mY dRIVE' will be released on March 31st, four tracks is vivid, at times bracing, experimentation. Ahead of this, Clash is able to offer up something special...

'rAIN mAKER' is fast and furious hip hop, with the production sitting somewhere in between the avant sounds of Low End Theory and chiptune.
