Premiere: Crewdson – ‘Stanner Nab’

Tune in now...

When Crewdson released his debut album five years ago it seemed to usher in a singular voice.

Fragmented post-dubstep with jazz leanings, the producer's work was imbued with a wonderfully engrossing sense of space.

New album 'TOYS' ends a five years gap between full length releases, and it finds Crewdson in a different aesthetic space in his life.

The producer has spent a number of years collecting and building odd instruments, with names like The Odd Box, The Concertronica, The Eggiophone and The Sonic Bonnet.

'TOYS' was built using these instruments, and this perhaps contributes to the odd sonic palette utilised throughout.

The producer's infectious charm remains, however, with Crewdson building an unexpected universe for the listener to dwell in.

Clash is able to premiere new cut 'Stanner Nab', and it's a neat indication of where the project is heading.

'TOYS' will be released on July 14th.
