Cowboy Lovers are a duo from Alicante in Spain, a pair of misfits in love with the debauched powers of redemption offered by rock 'n' roll.
Initially DJs, the pair amassed an enormous collection of psychedelia, punk, early rock 'n' roll and more. Anything that moved them, essentially.
Swapping their turntables for drums, guitar, vocals and electricity, Cowboy Lovers caught the attention of producer Liam Watson who invited them to record their debut album at his Toerag Studios complex in East London.
The self-titled record will be released on June 29th, but Clash is able to air 'Acid Queen'. The jagged punk rhythm recalls those early Damned singles, while the raw production adds a crisp, 'Nuggets' style garage rock edge.
