Premiere: Conquering Animal Sound – ‘Puskas’

Taken from new EP 'Talking Shapes'

A strange, beguiling phenomenon, Conquering Animal Sound are responsible for some confusing yet addictive electronic shapes.

Skewed synth pop with an artful bent, the Glasgow group's second album – and debut for Chemikal Underground – 'On Floating Bodies' was released to widespread acclaim last year.

Evidently stockpiling ideas, Conquering Animal Sound are readying a new EP. 'Talking Shapes' will be released on October 6th, Anneke Kampman and James Scott tackle everything from the root of language and gender roles to the beautiful game.

A thrilling experience, the duo produce something which is as physical as it is cerebral. Music which impacts on the hips and the cranium, the tumbling vocals retain just a twist of classic pop.

Clash is able to premiere new cut 'Puskas'. Named in honour of the iconic Hungarian footballer, it's staggered beats is matched to billowing vocals which sweep you up in their majesty.
