Color Therapy's name should be taken literally.
Based in Texas, the producer views music as a means of expunging feelings, of coping with the world around him.
“It was like a high no drug can induce,” he recalls. “I found myself making music in order to deal with the things around me I couldn't control, almost like the creative process was a therapy session. Each song is like a morphine drip.”
Gorgeous, synthetic sounds fused with some off kilter pop melodies, Color Therapy's new album is due to be released on March 23rd. (Pre-order link)
Ulrich Schnauss drops past on 'Expect Delays' and it's a fragrant, uniquely organic piece of music. Two voices intermingling, Color Therapy describes the making of the track as "blessed".
"I sent Ulrich a sketch idea of the song and he breathed life into it. He gave the song a heartbeat and made the whole piece inhale and exhale. He furthered the vision I had begun and I consider myself very blessed to have had the chance to collaborate with Ulrich."
