Catholic Action are pillars of Glasgow's vibrant DIY scene, a group whose makeshift shows, torn and tattered songwriting and general ethos seems to be attracting a large number of like minds.
New single 'The Real World' will be released on June 24th via Fuzzkill Records, and it's a terrific, gently poetic return from the group. Chris McCrory (also of Casual Sex and Pinact) places his vocals to the fore, a wry, sardonic look at life as it whizzes past.
Musically, it's one of the band's strongest pieces: playful yet direct, 'The Real World' comes to an almost complete stop in the middle before rising once more for a grand finale.
