Premiere: bdrmm – ‘the way i want’

Escapist noise pop from Hull...

Hull has always had a tight-knit creative community.

Now officially a City Of Culture, the award comes as the area's guitar pop underground makes huge strides.

bdrmm make gleefully noisy pop with an electronic bent, matching the humane to the digital with effortless ease.

New single 'the way i want' is about switching off, using Pavement as a jumping off point before leaping into the detox offered by a rare day off.

Curious, off piste pop constructed in a carefree fashion, it's a DIY wonder. On this tune, vocalist Ryan Smith says:

"I was woken up by a phone call from someone I didn’t want to speak to, so I put Pavement on, made some scrambled eggs. I had a day off work and wanted to write something new but had no inspiration so just used my morning as the influence."

Tune in now.
