For a while there it looked as though we'd lost Adem.
A founder member of post rock group Fridge, the songwriter entered rather more palatial spheres with his acoustic-led solo project.
Seeming to go quiet, Adem is now ready to re-emerge with new album 'seconds are acorns'. Due for release on October 16th, it's a direct return with Adem placing his voice and renewed percussion to the fore.
The album's theme, it seems, is: "hope in the face of loss, and care in the face of despondency". Clash is able to premiere 'Surrounded' and it's a statement of defiance from the songwriter.
Gently building to an intense finish, the patiently intoned vocals bely the seriousness of Adem's message. Check it out now.
