Actor is a project rooted in songwriter Louisa Osborn, who collaborates with producer Chris Mulligan and drummer Ste Anderson.
Based in a Leeds arts space that previously housed a bomb factory, the trio have been carefully piecing together new material for some time now.
Labelling their work as "emotional euphoria wrapped in sweet and sorrowful narratives" the project is ready to unveil something new.
'Uppercut' is a deft return, moody and moving but ultimately pop music. Louisa Osborn says the song "was inspired by a Billie Holiday lyric 'I’d rather be lonely than happy with somebody else'. 'Uppercut' personifies the ugly punch you unwillingly have to take when you have to give someone up."
