Pozi’s ‘Detainer Man’ Is A Glimpse Into An Authoritarian Mind

It's penned from the perspective of a brain-washed police officer...

Pozi return with new song 'Detainer Man'.

Perhaps their most direct and overtly pop-centric construction yet, the sublime catchiness of 'Detainer Man' is in opposition to its lyrical complexity.

Discussing authoritarian beliefs from the perspective of a police officer, it's frenetic rhythm echoes the brainwashed mind.

The continual barking of orders feels deeply subversive, and 'Detainer Man' rattles along at a helter-skelter pace.

Pozi comment: “This song is written from the perspective of a brainwashed police officer, preprogrammed to inflict abuse upon a person not conforming to the system. Robotic self orders instruct the officer to detain people.”

The full video is online now, inspired by early anime films and their vision of gleaming dystopia.

Director and animator Dylan Copeland comments: "'Detainer Man' is about the ghosts of police officers taking revenge on society by rising from the dead to wreak havoc on Dystopia…"

Tune in now.

Pozi will release their new EP 'Typing' on October 29th via PRAH Recordings.
